In trying to choose our desired song for our final piece we have come across some obstacles. We have found it difficult to settle on one set genre as we all believe different ideas will work. However we have managed to decide on Hip-Hop/Soul and the Indie genre. We have chosen these due to our interest in these genres as well as believing that we will find these genres easier to create a music video for the metal and the rock genre. Also as we are interested in these genres we will be able to find key examples that show the genre conventions as well as adapting this to our own tastes and ideas.

Another obstacle has been locating our desired music. We have found two great websites for royalty free music these are http://www.newgrounds.com/ and http://www.unsigned.com. However there are many different types of added genres when you search for a genre. Also there are many songs which we feel would be unsuitable and very difficult to pull off a good music video. Additionally when I have been looking for a song the song itself may be good however it is sometimes poor quality which could ruin our video itself. Furthermore as many of these artists have no production team and may not have much in the way of making a mainstream, non mix tape song then it is hard to find a reasonable sounding song.
